Local Center Devoted to Breast Cancer Patients Welcomes New Staff
After seventeen years with founder and sole fitter Mary Aframe at the helm, The Women’s Image Center’s staff has expanded to include two new certified fitters, Victoria Crosby and Kirsten Kamyck-Moulin.
The exciting expansion will allow more women who seek services from the center, which has locations in both Leominster and Worcester and helps thousands of women, each year, to access affordable wigs, breast prostheses and compression garments.
“I have been mentoring Victoria and Kirsten for over a year. The additional staff will allow us to assist women with their image changes due to their cancer treatment with more convenient appointment times at both locations,” said Ms. Aframe.
As always, she added, The Women’s Image Center will continue to stay updated on insurance issues and challenges to assist our women with their benefits -- a service that has been a mainstay of their dedication to providing women with personalized and compassionate care since the center opened in 2000.
“It is my privilege to have the opportunity to be a part of the journey that our awe-inspiring patients are on,” said Kamyck-Moulin, who is a Worcester resident and relative to Mary Aframe.
The Women’s Image Center will continue to offer the latest in product selection and technology, but for the staff both new and old, working with the women who walk through their doors each day is the reason they come to work each day. In addition, in Fall of 2016 Mary Aframe started the Women’s Image Catalog, an e-commerce site dedicated to offering high quality post-mastectomy products for women who may not be covered fully by insurance. “My favorite part of this job is when the woman leave more confident than the way they walked in,” said Crosby.
